Pallet Services

Pallet collections

Pallet collections are for large items that are not boxed. The delivery company can supply a Pallet upon collection (at a cost) if we are made aware 24 hours prior to the collection date.

There are some important things to note:

  • Collections are usually late afternoon once all deliveries have been done by the driver and therefore we cannot give an exact time. We do ask the driver to call en route.
  • The driver is not insured to lift any items and can only collect a pallet if the items are secured to the pallet in a way that is safe for transport.(Rachet straps can be supplied in advance where requested)
  • The driver will have a tail lift on the vehicle and a pallet trolley so he can collect the pallet with minimal force however they will need the items to be on a pallet at the nearest hard surface to the kerb side. This means that they may not collect items left far down a driveway or on gravel or grass.
  • Collections may be made on any size vehicle so if access is restricted (eg No Articulated Lorries etc) we must advise them 24 hours in advance
  • If you have a pallet supplied on collection, the driver can only wait for a maximum of 20 minutes for the items to be placed on the pallet so it is important that there is sufficient labour on site to place the radiators onto the pallet within that time

It is really important to be aware of all of the above points. If you have any concerns at all about the collection then please contact info@radrestore.co.uk

Pallet Deliveries

  • Radiators will be shipped by a pallet forwarding network using a HGV. When shipped using this method the haulage company will attempt to deliver pallets as close as possible to the Purchaser’s required position, usually to the closest hard-standing area.
  • The haulage company is under no obligation to remove items from the pallet, nor carry items into the Purchaser’s property.
  • The Purchaser should warn the us if there is restricted access, soft or graveled driveways. Should we not be notified in advance of any restrictions in delivery access, or should the Purchaser or their representatives not be present to sign for the goods, we reserves the right to charge a re-delivery fee should re-delivery be necessary.
  • Cast iron radiators are very heavy, please ensure that either sufficient manpower, or lifting gear, is available to unload the pallet. For timed, and/or Saturday deliveries, the haulage company levies additional charges, please contact the Company for details of these charges. Small items will be shipped by Royal Mail.

Assisted Courier Service

  • The assisted courier service will collect and deliver your radiators, providing you with two men, who will be able to help you move your disconnected radiators from a safe location in your home to the vehicle and from the vehicle back into the house upon delivery.
  • The cost for the assisted courier service is more than the pallet Service. Prices vary, on how many radiators you have, size (weight) and the location you live.
  • There are, of course limitations to the size of radiator this service can help you with. You will not need to provide a pallet.
  • The courier will always call pre his arrival with approximate time of collection or delivery.
